I called back, spoke with some guy named officer Williams or something, guy had a terrible accent. Said my assets would be frozen within the next 30 minutes. Checked an hour later, all good. Total scam.

I received the same call on my cell phone. The man spoke with an accent and indicated there would be consequences if I did not reply. He did not say who he is with or why I might be in trouble. I assumed it was a scam and ignored it.

Just received the same call although could hardly understand as accent was a tough one. Where can you go to register this scam, not for me but for the poor soul that might get intimidated by this

I got the call this morning I was wondering what I did that someone would call me and leave me a such a message

OMG I just got the same call, it scared my at first because when you hear from them, it's cause you owe money. then I listened to it carefully, and even called the number and it picked up on first ring.. NOT!!! lol... I called back, and asked for his badge number and started questioning him, and he hung up.. its a scam.... and besides, Officers work at the IRS??? lol

I got the same call as Cheryl J. "Good Luck as the situation unfolds badly." Area Code is out of NYC, are we really supposed to think NYPD are on behind this threat? I'm on Florida FYI.

I didn't answer but caller left the following message..
My name is officer Eric Foster an hotline to my division is 929-255-1415 ( repeated two times) now don't try to disregard this message and to return the call. If you don't and return the call if I don't hear from your attorney either then the only thing I can do is wish you a good luck as the situation unfolds badly on you. So give me a call back as soon as you get this message.

Not sure what kind of call this was. The man said he was a police officer and I should call him back or my lawyer. If not, then good luck. I don't know what to make of this and I'm not calling him back.
