Same as everyone else who complained but I took both calls. Said I owed back taxes for 2 different time frames. I was told by number 1 caller that I was contacted 2 times by mail from the IRS and ignored it. Never received correspondence in mail. I have dealt with the IRS before so I know how the dog and pony show goes. It is unfortunate that they pray on innocent people and unfortunately they are probably calling from out of the country (you can buy phone numbers) and will never be traced. Get a job.

Received 2 calls on my answering machine advising me to call back immediately. Called back this morning 10/17. No answer. Been getting these calls once or twice a week from different area codes (WA, NY, OH, PA). Same scam, maybe different groups. Played along with the last one and he wanted my cell phone number and was going to have me go to the bank to withdraw $4800 for "back taxes". Probably calling from out of the country. I played him for about 10 minutes and when he realized it, he let out a string of expletives and said I was "wasting his time."

I got this robo call twice today. 10/16/2015. I let the answering machine take the call. I did not call them back. The call basically stated it was the IRS and I needed to call the number regarding a lawsuit.

Called me 2x today. I answered the call and was instructed to call the number and that it was the IRS. I called and he indicated that there was a lawsuit against me for a miscalculation of back taxes for 2008. That I had a choice to hire a tax attorney to fight this, or settle it out of court. He stated his name was Joe Butler, but was heavily accented male, sounded like from India. He went on to say I owed $1985 and that if I don't settle it quickly, they will file the lawsuit in court tonight and there will be a warrant for my husband's arrest. My bank accounts and everything will be seized. I told him that he legally cannot do that as I have received no written correspondence that I have signed for and therefore he has no proof of service of such information and that I'll have my CPA notify him. He proceeded to push the issue. I then told him, that these scare tactics are not going to work on me and then he started yelling at me and hung up. I reported the matter to the IRS website.

called from NY. Said to call asap regarding lawsuit. I let it go to answering machine. This is the first from NY. The last three came from WA. and indicated that they were IRS>

Called with a warning to call immediately. I called back, heavily accented male answered,I told him I knew he wasn't the IRS, do not call again. Then he started screaming profanities, and when I tried to talk he would say, blah, blah, blah!!! I have blocked his number
