Left pre-recorded message about how I'd applied for a payday loan and was qualified.
Automated message about free security system for allowing an ADT sign place on my lawn. FAKE
Its a phishing robo caller, designed to find if a random number they call is answered or not. The automated system gives a prerecorded message about a product or service and tells you to press 1 for more info or press 2 to be taken off the list. If you press either, nothing happens and it hangs up. You have now just confirmed to them your phone is answered and you get put on a list thats sold to telescammers.
If you call back, an automated system only offers you to press 9 to be taken off the list, then hangs up. Also confirms a valid number called back for future scams.
They call every morning. I have blocked the number, they leave no messages, and calling back just gets me a busy signal. Therefore, I'm not sure if it's the payday loan scam, student loan forgiveness scam, or one of the other scams that others have reported, but it is without doubt certainly a scam of some kind.
They were selling home security systems. I let them listen to a chorus of Weird Al singing Another one rides the bus.
We have received two calls from this number and no caller ID shown and no message ever left. What a pain.
