If you get this call --- BLAME TRW, Equifax, the credit reporting agencies and possibly your bank or lender if you're looking to refi or obtain a mortgage. The credit agencies (TRW, Equifax - the people who grade your credit score) SOLD your name and number to Efficient Lending in Los Angeles. It is a computer dialing you from this purchased lead to try to get you into doing business with them. I received 7 calls yesterday and three today before I finally got a person to talk to. He was nice enough and told me the information. He said he will remove my number. That's about the only way to stop this...I think unless we can charge the credit reporting agencies who sold our info.

So I called Efficient Lending. I spoke with a rep and he said that all that a person needs to do is answer the line and let the rep that is calling know that they have sold their house.. I do not have a house.. he said that this is the only way to stop the calls.
If you have ever had your credit ran, he said that they are informed to call you from the bank that denied you credit. The funny thing is that I never applied for a loan or anything. If you know anyone who has used you as a reference this can be why as well.

Just a heads up on the frustrating calls.

call from lending company- thought it was vaild because i just started some research on doing a refinance with the home. i think they took my information and scammed me. hope i don't have id theft.

Here ya go! Called 40+ times, they blame it on their auto-dialer. If you are having trouble with them, I'm sure they would appreciate being notified when their auto-dialer calls and hangs up. I would recommend letting them know every time it calls.

I did some quick research and I believe the name of the company is "Efficient Lending" out of Irvine, California. Someone on another site claims that Ticor Title is the parent company. They can be reached at 800-214-5230.
