Caller with Middle-Eastern accent pitching student loan forgiveness. Sounded almost legit, saying they were from Department of Education on the premise that you could have your ENTIRE student load forgiven. DO NOT give them your DOB, e-mail, or let them get into your account at fsaid.ed.gov by resetting your account password via a password recovery code generated by the fsaid.ed.gov website sent to your e-mail.

If they are from the Department of Education, they will already have access to your info! I asked the caller why they would need access to my FSA files if they are from Department of Education - next thing I heard was they guy hanging up!!
