i know they're a scam, but how did they get my number and how do get them to leave me alone? they call at least once a day!

Extremely persistent and annoying

called me 4 times in the last hour and a half. Wish they would stop calling no one answers when I do pick up and I am put on hold when I call, of course I hang up.
Unknown caller calls 5-7 times per day. Will not say anything. When phone number is called back, an operator says "let me connect you."
