I answered and they said that they were with the cartel and that they had my daughter and threatened my life. Someone showed up at my house. and called me from this number with their phone. I didn't answer the door.

Yep. Got the call. Thankfully the app I use for my phone blocks spam crap like this. If you have an Android phone there are ways of screening these types of calls. I am in no way associated with the folks who offer the app, but Mr. Number is free at Google play and it works excellently. There are other good apps as well, for blocking these bungholes.

Claims I've been pre-approved for a $250k loan I didn't ask for. Bogus!

I didn't answer the call but called back and got a voicemail to be placed on do not call list
