Called my cell then called my home phone ages minutes later. I am on a do not call list so how did they get my number?

7 calls to my cellphone over 2 days, 5 within 5 minutes. Of course, no message was left. These people are crazy, calling a non-answering number that many times in a short period. The cell phone was no ring/no vibrate at that time. These were not robocalls.

My Android cellphone lets me assign a name with multiple numbers and has an ability to set the ringtone for that name to "none". Guess what number has been assigned to that name. They can keep it up and I will only know that they tried by checking for missed calls.

They keep calling me on a work phone number and I keep telling them that I want a free security system for my university of more than 50,000 students. They hang up!

It's never a person. They call all tge time even after requesting to not be called multiple times... they still call

It's a scam. If you listen through to the end, it prompts you to "press 1 to get your free home security system." Next you get is a call center; first thing I asked was "What company is this, and how did you get my phone number?" And he immediately hung up.

There is a noticeable delay in the call, and they have poor sound filtering; I was able to hear my own voice echoed in the phone before he responded, and there was roughly a 2 second delay in the echo.
