Called three times (each time, 'this is the last opportunity') and claimed the IRS was about to sue me. Crap, crap, CRAP. And it stinketh. If the IRS has issues with you they notify by letter, detailing the issues, and give opportunity for response. There is a long process before they ever sue, and it doesn't begin with telling someone else.
Whoever reads this, talk to your elected representative (call them in DC and wake them up - what a cynic I am, but their current track record isn't great) and ask why, when this is obviously an attempt to get your personal information and use it fraudulently, that they can't be found, arrested, convicted, and tried - that's un-American, it's un-English, it's French, according to Mark Twain. We have the phone number so they can be found. If everyone who gets these calls contacts their congressman, maybe something will be done.
Called twice claiming to be from irs
IRS is filing a lawsuit??
A scam trying to get any personal info you will give them. Just hang up. If you get in trouble with the IRS, they will email you, or you will get a real person!
