Professional Finance Company (PFC) is a debt collection company located in Colorado, but licensed in all states. They generally collect on medical debt for hospitals, doctors and clinics, but have other clients. Their website is www.professionalfinancecompany.com and they allow you to negotiate an on-line payment arrangement. Their toll-free number is 800-864-4391 and they even have a dedicated “wrong number line” (970-351-6228), if you get a call that wasn’t intended for you. They have an A+ Better Business Bureau rating and are certified by HFMA and ACA International. If you get a notice or call from them on a debt, they’re legitimate and will work with you if you reach out to them.
