"Madam we have detected a problem with your computer, please turn on your computer." They purport to help you cure a computer virus. It is a scam to get your passwords and other personal information. They kept calling at least 5 or 6 times in rapid succession and used profanity when told to stop calling. When I didn't answer one of their repeated calls, they left a "dead air" voice mail message.
I have been dooped by these 3 numbers and unfortunately paid them $219.00 for 3 years of software security and $199.00 for anti-virus protection. then I got a call saying that they were no longer serving the USA and will give me a refund. I was stupid and let them into my computer for 3 hours to get the #399.00 refund on 8-4-13. No refund yet.
They claim to be from Microsoft and they want to help fix my computer but Microsoft does not do this. I asked for his number so my husband could call back and he gave me the 505 phone number.
They were calling "with Microsoft windows about my computer because it has a virus."
Speaker was male, with Middle Eastern accent. I asked to be removed from this list. He asked "why", I said "because I do not want calls from anyone whom I did not ask to call". He said "but your computer is infected.." I replied "please take us off your list" and he hung up.
