Viruses on my computer
Got a call from this number a few minutes ago -- a heavy accent, possibly Hispanic --lots of what seemed to be office noise in the background -- told me that my computer was infected (which I don't think it is) -- asked whether it was on (yes), and requested that I go on it, press the Windows logo and the letter 'R', presumably as a step to let him 'in' and 'examine it'. At that point, suspecting a phishing attempt, I hung up.
The caller said he represented Windows and said my computer had downloaded viruses slowing my machine. I told him that was false, because my computer is running just fine, and hung up. Note: I downloaded Google Chrome on my computer within the last month, but deleted it from my computer. My computer does use Windows, but I access them on the Web at their official site if I need a download.
