They state that they are calling about my "credit card" (very general). And they say there is nothing wrong my my account, but they are offering a "rate reduction" for my credit card. That is all in the per-recorded message, then I press 1 to talk with someone... That's when I ask to be removed from their call list and that's when they just hang up on me.

Call the phone carrier McLeodUsa Telecommunications which the number is provided through and file a complaint. I just did. The more complaints the providers have, they will have to do something eventually. Ask them if they condone their customers using their services to commit crime. Their number is 877-759-9020. Mcleodusa is now owned by Windstream.

This number has actually been ported to AT&T. Call them, they are taking complaints and actively working to get the number disconnected. Call them to report your incident. 1 (800) 331-0500

I had requested them to stop calling by pushing #3 and talking to them. I finally bought a small air horn that I blast into the phone. I ask them if they can hear me Ok and when they say yes, they get it. I had a friend tell me that I can't do that but I told him that I have had issues with this outfit for a number of years and "Rachel" just does not give up. The calls have dropped off drastically I hope their ears ring for days
