Hackers have broken into numerous auto dealership's computer databases and stolen information concerning vehicles purchased at the affected dealerships. The hackers get your car make, year model and phone number and then call you, attempting to "sell" you an extended auto warranty. People who receive these calls and fall for this bullshit are then told they can buy the extended vehicle warranty that will cover everything, regardless of the mileage or condition of your vehicle AND the policy is on $80 for 4 years. Idiots who believe this, then provide their credit card number to the thief and the security code, expiration date on the credit card, as well as their physical address. And as the old saying goes, "A fool and their money are soon parted."
My caller ID showed 'Ilegal Scam,' huh??!! No voice mail, of course, time to block!
