Tried to get my parents to bail their grandson out of jail. SCAM!!
They tried to take money from a90 year old lady
MY MOTHER WAS CALLED FROM THE SAME NUMBER WITH THE SAME STORY ABOUT A FAMILY MEMBER IN TROUBLE FOR GETTING IN AN ACCIDENT WITH A PREGNANT WOMEN AND ALSO NEEDE BAIL MONEY. HE SAID HIS NAME WAS JOHN M CONNELLY OR CONNOR.
Caller called my Grandmother in Wisconsin. Informed her that his name is Matthew Dixon or Dickson, and that he was my attorney. I had been in an automobile accident with a pregnant woman and needed $2000 USD for bail money. My Grandmother contacted my aunt whio is a retired Milwaukee Co. deputy sheriff. She made some phone calls to local pd, hospitals and jails and no one had any record .(Mesa, AZ pd did a full search and didn't find my name in any database that they had access to.). I did a little digging. This number is a VoiP number (per whitepages.com) and is out of Patterson, NJ. With VoiP, you can be anywhere, so they probaly are not in Patterson (near NYC). Also when my aunt called the number, she said the person sounded like a man with a Saudi accent and the name given didn't match the person's voice patterns. Mr. Dixon, also gave the phone to another man claiming to be me, myGrandmother, who at 88 is developing hearing problems, and thought it was me. Please be careful. This number has been used in a number of calls, (search the phone number on google), all of which the man represents himself as Matthew Dixon and is a lawyer representing a relative and needs money for bail.
They tried to get me for $1900!!! Don't fall for it!
