I have received this automated message from this number as well. I called Amerigroup itself via their customer service number and asked them about it. They said if it was automated, it was probably to welcome us but didn’t see anything that needed to be taken care of on my end with their system. I received this message twice now so not sure.

I received a call from this number. I let it go to voicemail. They left a call back number of 1 844 662 8161. I called amerigroup because of the other review saying it was a scam and I wanted to make sure. The lady at amerigroup said it was just a call to check on the health of my child. I called the call back number and all they asked was to verify the child’s name and DOB. It was an automated system that proceeded to ask me various questions about my child’s health. It’s not a scam call.

I just called Amerigroup to verify this phone number and the number they wanted me to call back: 1-844-662-8161. This is a scam. Amerigroup said if they ever call their clients it will always be a real person, not an automation. They do not ask for personal information after signing up with them. Please do not make the mistake of giving information over the phone to the numbers I listed!!
