Was called by an African woman stating she was from FNB Bank and they were doing an upgrade on my credit card. Verification on all my details were done. I was to be contacted by a consultant whom would explain all discounts on hotel, holiday and accommodation deals. this call came through and 10 minutes later R5965.00 was deducted from my account. Card stopped. reference on transaction was Hotel Exp Inter Midrand. NO ANSWER ON THIS NUMBER and hotel supervisor is aware of these dealings?????????????????

I received that call yesterday when I was at work,they told me that I'm going to receive a platinum card, that is going to give me a 50% discount everywhere swipe and I said “okay what's that company name again,she said its bank merchandiser” with a dodgy voice. But I didn't give with any information of my credit card. Bloody Amanda

Just got called by them and they change from HDI to Hotel Express International and back while on the line. I told them I had not applied for a card and asked what I could do with the card. the got a little vague so i asked what information they had about me but they refused to tell me. They wanted my address - never got as far as the credit card numbers. I said that I thought they were spamming or phishing and they said thanks for the call and put the phone down.

Phoned me 15 min ago claiming i must collect my Platinum card!When I refused she dropped the call!Very rude African Girl!

They have called me too. Something about a Hotel discount international card. When it got to the point that I had to give my card expiry date, I realized that something is wrong. I didn't want too give it, and then she hanged up on me. Try to phone back but. Definitely a scam.

I Have read above mentioned comments and the exact happened to me on the 13 April 2015, I spoke to Lucky and Amanda and I am still waiting for them to call me back, bloody scammers

Called me today, but being aware of scams !! ALWAYS !!.... phones, e-mails, people of all Nations .. paid no interest in what she was saying and said I did not carry my credit cards with me . BLAH BLAH BLAH they always give themselves away ... she asked me for delivery address and then the card number and expiry date ... then I asked why does she need this number if they should already have it on their system??? then made as if I could not hear and the signal was bad... Bye Bye.

Scammers for sure - speak very fast - well trained - gist is that you have qualified for a platinum card - go through the motions of your discounts by carrying this card - then request a credit card type "Visa / Master" and want the number to activate the card - I asked her to repeat herself 3 times! Then told her she was nuts! Called them back - declared they are a call centre for "Hotel Express International" and wanted to know the nature of my query??? Scam at its best.

Just received a call from these people who claim to work for: Hotel Express International, gave them all details and e-mail etc, then wanted to "activate" my card with my credit card number!!! Called back and spoke to "Amanda" very rude little cow! Told her they running a scam!

They called me too claiming I am eligible for a platinum card. Bloody scanners.

Was also contacted by the same people and gave them my card numbers. Realised it was a scam when I tried to call them back and they did not answer. None of the numbers on the Hotel Express International website match this number. Have cancelled both my cards.
