He met me on facebook used james ben . then asked me to open yahoo account so i did, says his wife passed and it was him and 2 kids, says he wanted me to be his wife. untill one day says son was in hospital and i was the only one that could help him, i went off on him and said my brother is a cop leave me alone. his yahoo is james_ben22@yahoo.com

Yesterday I suddenly started receiving intermittent flurries of text messages from 009-246-6401 and 009-246-6501. Initially, the message headings indicated they are coming from a Yahoo! IM account with the name Marilyn Sklar associated with the account.

In subsequent messages, the Yahoo! IM account had the following names and email addresses associated with it. Clearly, these are pseudo or quasi names being frequently changed in effort to trick the recipients of the text messages.

Besides the numbers and Yahoo! IM source, the other common denominator with these activities is that the text messages forcibly demand, even intimidate and threaten, that I respond by sending personal and financial info to them or submit the info via email. Beware!

I put a room for rent on CraigsList. "Whitney Cruz" contacted me wanting to know more about it. She was really pushy about sending money to a lady in New York to get her car. Then it was the car was in Colorado. This person has not asked to see a lease agreement, pictures, or even a description of the place she's moving into. She hasn't told me where she's going to college (she said she was majoring in microbiology) This is a scam artist who wants me to wire money via money gram for a car in Colorado. I live in MI!! Goes by the name Whitney Cruz. It is a fake! They send you a bogus check which you deposit and send the money gram to this mystery person out of state. Then when your bank tries to collect from the bank they say that there is no such account and that it's a fake then your bank fines, fees and can prosecute you.
