Claims to be from Motor Advice Bureau in association with the Association of British Insurers (ABI). They usually know many details of car accidents, and claim to be seeking feedback on the performance of involved insurance companies. However, this usually leads on to 'advice' informing you that you are entitled to compensation for injuries, even minor niggles, and they throw attractive figures into conversation to try and lure you into claiming. They'll make out that if you don't claim the money which has been set aside for you, the insurer can claim it back as a tax-free sum and benefit financially from your accident.
They will link you law society campaigns and all sorts to try and give themselves credibility. When pressed for company information, they claim not to be allowed to divulge this public information. When pressed for a full name, I was told Hannah Montana.
They claim to be unable to remove your number or data from their systems "as it would cost them their job".
