EXPERIAN (the company who stores the details of everybody in the country, from your new-born child to recently deceased relatives) sells your personal and credit details to these fraudulent companies (and sometimes legal companies). EXPERIAN do not check the legality of any companies who wish to buy the data about you or anyone - as long as they get paid, they don't care.

You can, however, call Experian and ask to be put through to their Marketing Departament. Ask them to remove your details from their database, which they seem willing to do.

However, Virgin Media, your mobile phone provider, your bank, building society and more especially BT and the Post Office are also selling your personal details (and sometimes credit details) onto these other (fraudulent) companies.

These companies are 1500% fraudulent. Do not let them bully you, harrass you or even provide any kind of service for you. Some of them have been taken to court quite recently, if you read any news from the likes of the Barbour Index.

I am constantly getting phone calls from these people. I have asked them to remove my number from their database to no avail! I have barred the number from being answered on my mobile but it still shows when I have a missed call from them-3 this week!!!!!
