Thank goodness for sites like this, where you can check numbers before responding. I nearly got taken in by this scam and they really worried me until a friend suggested checking the number on line. Thanks.

Guy claiming to be from HMRC giving me the usual spiel about under investigation and house surveillance - also informed me that it is illegal under UK law to have an accountant. LOLZ

Had the exact same phone call, allegedly HMRC that have my house under surveillance. Clearly a fake. I suspect there would be an official letter and at least the courtesy of an actual person on the phone.

I had the same call claiming to be from HMRC. The recorded voice asked me to call 02080891107 urgently and said my property was under surveillance and being investigated by HMRC. Nether my name or address were mentioned in the call. I am not going to call the number!

Was left a voicemail by this number which sounded like a very British lady's accent, but at end of call you could hear foreign sounding people in the background. Threatening I should call the number back 02080891107 immediately and my house was under surveillance, etc

Caller: Couldn't hear as it missed the first bit of message as was left on voicemail

Had ac call from ‭020 8089 1107‬ The person at the other end introduced themselves as an officer from the serious fraud squad acting on behalf of HMRC. They had me for a moment .... They told me it was for personal taxes from 2012-2016 lol Gave me wrong address so I asked if they could take me through security and also verify who they were an officer number and such. Guy became very irritated and also could not confirm my home address. Suggest strongly that this is a SCAM!! Don’t give anyone your details first I say!!!!
