They pay you with a cloned or stolen cheque/card. They then immediately cancel and ask you to refund the money. You refund money from your account and then find out the chequecard they used was fake. By thst time they have disappeared and you have lost the mone you sent them. Your bank will not, of course honour a fake cheque and may even try and prosecute you for trying to pay it into the bank.
