i have had a land-line wiyh my b/band for about 12 years but for the last 3 years i did not have a handset up to about 3 or 4 weeks ago when i thought i would purchase one. From the day i plugged it in it started ringing about 4 or 5 ,even 6 times a day. Ijust ignored it as i knew that any freinds would not be using the number after all this time and they all have my mob.number. Iknew it was either Debt-collectors or charitys i pledged some cash for the Bile bears in rotten Vietnam and since then i have been plauged. The nummber that brought me to this site though, which is 08439801209, is Sigma Debt collection who as far as i am concerned have no buisiness with me . If you answer these type of calls i find that the best way to deal with any unwanted callers is to ask what ehey are selling and when then start their scripts insisting they are selling notrhing i tell them i will be puting down the phone and if they continue i simply tell them where to go and it usually offends them enough not to hear from them again. these recent 0845 type numbers hardly ever give any address or contact number apart from payement numbers as they do not appear to like talking to their customers, however if one calls the British Telecom operater they have private line numbers for all of these 0845 type numbers and it don`t half give theese nuisance callers a shock when you inform what your call is about. Try it
