Kept calling over and over, even after I threatened to report them. Called from a number tht can't be traced or called back. Asked me to verify personal info such as SSI and address. When I wouldn't cooperate he got upset and started to yell.
They claim to be from ACS Legal (Affidavit Consolidating Services). Basically its a bunch of men with Indian accents claiming to have names like John Smith and Brian Miller. They try to get you to "payoff" the debt you owe their client. They get your information from online Loan applications or financial applications that you have filled out. Make sure you contact the Credit reporting agencies. If they call back, go to yellowpages.com and look up the name of a local attorney (doesnt matter which one) and when they ask to speak with you or your legal representative, give them they lawyers name and phone number. They wont call you for a good long while, if they ever call back at all. And they dont call the Lawyer either. My cousin is my lawyer and he says he never got a call from them.
