Guy named "Franklin" (n Bangalor?) said he was calling about "things getting downloaded" into my computer every time I go online due to Windows. Never asked me if I have PC or Mac or version. Obvious they are looking for elderly Windows users with landlines who don't know what Run or EVENTVWR are. I asked if he was calling from Microsoft & name of company several times. "Computer Technical Services" Told him I'm technically savvy, that I use TOR. He persisted. Asked me if I use computer for business or personal - I said both. Asked who pays the internet bill but passed on that when I asked why he wanted to know. I asked what "programs" he was looking for. He kept on script saying I didn't have to go online, it wasn't about viruses, it was about many programs downloaded every time I go online that no virus protection can stop. He referred to the phone # several times - that the call was about computers associated with the number. Tried to get more info from him bc obvious spam/fraud but he hung up when I asked him why he called a landline with no computer in the house that I happened to be visiting.

I recognized voice of a scammer who claims my computer has been hacked, and he can fix it. He addresses me by my correct first and last name, but cannot answer my probing questions. When I tell him my computer is not running Windows (as he claimed), he quickly takes my bait that I'm running an Apple Mac.
