Today (15/4/2020) I received a call from this number, a men claiming he is from Airasia asking if I know my flight has been cancelled. The way he say was very professional, he had my booking number, the right date & destination. Due to Covid-19, most flight has been cancelled so as mine. I request for a refund few days ago through AVA in AirAsia apps and was redirected to a website stated estimating time of 1hr 18min... So I thought this was a call from Airasia’s customer service. He say he need to do some verification and will ask three question. Firstly, he ask for my email under the booking number. Secondly, he ask for the amount of passenger and I told him their name too. Lastly, he ask if the flight was business or economy seat. I have contact with real Airasia’s customer service before, the first two question is exactly what they will ask, while this was my firs time hearing the third question. After that, he patiently explain to me the choice of unlimited flight change or refund to credit account due to flight cancellation. Am I encounter to a scammer or not 🤦🏻‍♀️
