rang telling me false information about myself to get me to sign up for financial assistance
Rang blurting on about gold investments and wanting to make an appointment for a rep to call and discuss options. As soon as I said not interested he hung up and didn't even say bye or anything.

had the same thing. Said he was from Alliance Group in Hong Kong I think. Fed me a big line about where he got my name and number from. Spun a yarn about fuel prices then hung up when i asked a couple of questions
I was immediately suspicious as I live in NZ and the call I received was to my personal mobile and obviously from this Australian number! The caller introduced himself as Steve Clark from some company I didn't quite catch the name of and he asked if I had time to hear about the company but before I could finish answering him he hung up.
