claiming to be doing a survey on behalf of chorus, since i just had fiber installed. Im quite concerned how they obtain details such as name tied to the number, never had a problem with prepaid sims getting spam calls im guessing with no name associated to a number its less personal? how do they get the numbers? does our isp sell number with details to 3rd parties? is our isp data base really that unsecure? questions that my isp wasnt able to give me a clear answer and kept avoiding and making excuses.. The scam call was very poor line quality when i asked if they were in nz they claim to be in christchurch but calling from a auckland based call center that was enough of a red flag for me but i kept them on the line to save time to help others who my take their scams serious (my mother lol) was then offered a chance to win $500 on completion of the survey guessing they would want to confirm some personal details after as part of the scam. went ahead and answered they first question that was to rate the service i get from chorus 1 to 10 i asked to explain the question because i stated that i dont recive a service from chorus but from my isp then she said i understand your concern thank you for your time and hang up lol
Phones daily from a variety of Auckland NZ numbers always with the prefix 09557 and just says nothing. Spam NUISANCE. Always phones between 10am and 3pm suggesting unemployed home alone spammer
