This is another scam from a "government" agency that claimed I was authorized $7000.

he calls everyday around 3pm and says he is mark brown calling from Sunnyvale courthouse in California and continually lies about who he is and where he is calling i have had his number blocked but he adds other numbers so that he can get his call through. I just rebuked the devil because that is what he is and i will never answer my phone again i believe that God is going to bring them down and it is going to happen very soon.

The number called me and a lady said I was chosen, along with 1,700 people, to receive a $5,000 student grant. I was confused because I applied for a grant two weeks ago so I listened cautiously. She verified my address and then said I had to call 206-855-3074 in order to claim the money. I called and the man did not sound American at all. He asked how I wanted the money...into my bank account or I would have to give him a credit card number. Obviously I said no and then he hung up.

The caller was Indian, and the country code and area code seem to be for Maharastra, India, but they claimed to be calling on behalf of the U.S. Government. It could have been an outbound call center for some marketing scheme.
