CID only showed number -- thought maybe a relative was calling from overseas, altho it would have been 1 am for them! I answered & no one was there. I know from experience the phone company can't do much & Do Not Call list is sometimes a joke. But I have a fantastic Panasonic phone (Model KX-TG6541) that allows me to save number in a phone list or a Blocked Calls list. It's been a life saver! Whenever I find out a number is one I don't want, I save it into the Blocked Call list & it only rings once. Between telemarketers, scams & the current political season, it may be time to think about dumping the landline!
