I have been getting phone calls from 000-000-000 for 2 weeks now. They call several times a day. First they said they were an officer. next they said they were a bill collector. The third call they asked for me saying they were my husband. The guy seems to be the same one every time. He now calls 4 to 5 times a day. If I don't answer he doesn't leave a message. If I do answer he tells me he "likes" me. He loves to listen to my voice. and he wants to meet me. I have declined of coarse. and stopped answering my phone. I cannot track the number, or block it. It is just creepy. I don't know what to do. any suggestions would be appreciated.

I get the same number calling my cellphone.
I called Verizon to block it by adding 3 more zeros to the number.
It probably is the stupid Election Telemarketers who have no life.

Call comes up on caller ID 0000 representing person says he is Office Bruce Johnson (HA) can't speak english heavy Indian or Pakistani accent. Don't even bother picking up the call, get yourselves a good stron whisle and when they call just blow it in their ears a few times, that shoud impair their hearing some. I've checked this online and found it to be a scam of some kind. Also impersonating a law officer is a FELONY, try telling them that, but more than likely they won't even know what that means. If all of the above does not help, change you number. Keep recordings of their messages.

Who ever is making these calls, whether it is individuals or entities does not make a difference. The problem is with the FCC we as consumers are submitting complaints and they have not responded SUCCESSFULLY by identifying the culprit and solving the problem. We are the USA and with all our "so called modern technology", the DO NOT CALL REGISTER, the amount that of our telephone bills are and all these surcharges and franchise fees and taxes we pay and yet we still have to deal with this mess. What if all of us united and say to HELL with PHONES, CABLE, INTERNET etc. and go back to the Paul Revere days. I bet you we all would stop receiving UNKNOWN/UNIDENTIFIABLE CALLS.

Very good point. this is why our political system is screwed up to! no one to oversee the crooks! This is an example of incompedence on the person or department in charge of stopping this. And why can't we just tag the number and block them? You can block a friend but not a long distance number of some kinds! I don't get it? Isn't that what caller Id is gr8 for to know who is calling you. If they have something to hide I don't want them even calling my number point blank!

I keep getting these calls with ID: Name Unavailable 1-000-000-0000. I called my telephone service, and they said it's called spoofing. I can't block them, because I'd block legitimate private callers. When I screen, the message is an operator saying, "If you'd like to make a call, please hang up." I can dial *60 after the call goes through to see if it can be traced. Then, I'd have to get a subpoena to stop it. It's very irritating, but the phone service said spoofing technology is getting harder to keep up with. The only thing to do is answer, then hang up, or let the machine take it.

We just got a call from 1-000-000-0000 a few minutes ago. We don't answer phone calls from numbers we don't know especially one with all zeros. We let the answering machine take the call, but no message was left. We've received calls from this number before. One time it was Geico and other times it was a computerized message from a bill collector. These calls should not be allowed. It could be anyone!

The phone companys are pussies, they won;t block these. This is obviously either fraud or some college kid with nothing better to do.

They call and leave no message, then call and leave a female voice message with typing in background. I can barely understand what her message is conveying. I do not answer calls I do not have programmed in address book, or do not know.
