Today, I received calls from:

0319403020 / 031 940 3020 x2
0310011004 / 031 001 1004 x1
0118189700 / 011 818 9700 x1

All calls, except the last, hung up either before or seconds after I answered, with one having call-centre-like background noise before hanging up.

The final call, the one from the Johannesburg (011) number, did not hang up. The speaker identified herself, and told me she was with The Rewards Company in partnership with Edgars. In short, they tried to sell me a funeral plan.

I declined the offer, and requested that The Rewards Company not contact me again. I explained that the calls bordered on harassment, and she apologised for that and confirmed that outgoing calls are dialed by machine, and are automatically hung up if not answered within 3 rings. She also confirmed that she was calling from Durban (031), but that the call was being routed via Johannesburg.

After completing that call, I contacted Edgars and updated my account to disallow all marketing.

i recieved a call fromthis number 0310011004 , it's my girlfriend's acct and my number was used before but she changed it. the guy on the line wanted to sign life cover , when i said i was not the one he cut the line , this is very scarey . i have been scared all day i also got miss calls from 0319403020 or is this so form of police investigation or some scam i still do not get this the cops should explain

Hey guys it would seem that this call is a share call. I.e a reverse call. So u pay for a portion of the call. Save thd number so u dnt gt ripped off as well as this numb: +27873107392

last week i received a missed call from dis number and today i got another miissed call. when i try to reply the number is always engaged its anoying me because i don't know anyone using these number. and these story is happening to vodacom customers only i think we should report these matter to saps and trace these announamise caller to stop bothering us. i also think thatr vodacom should be more careful.

I have been receiving these calls from the 0310011004 , 0313146622 and 0319403020. Dropped calls, Hang up calls, "no one there" calls, until this afternoon.. I received a call from the 0310011004 and guess what.?!
This guy's name is Regeesh or similar. Anyway the story goes that he was is phoning from Durban FNB Message center. He would like me to sign up for the life cover for only R22.00 per month.

After he spoke I explained the situation I have found myself in with these annoying phone calls and that I would like an explanation!!! He said that there was no way that they have tried to phone me before and that he would check the records....

I told him that this number that is now showing on my phone is definitely 1 of three that have been bugging me for days now and I have record of it, Also I am informed of other people experiencing the exact same thing!!!!! He tried twice to get me to sign up for the life cover. I never did! I am going to report this to FNB Bank and I am going to Vodacom.....I want answers.

I have had 4 call from this number in 2 days, know one is on the line when I answer.

Is this a scamming number to steal airtime off my phone account?

Vodacom is SA has not been able to assist in location this number either.

I have had a number of missed calls from this number, but in trying to phone back get a "number error" message. On the occasion i did answer, the call was immediately disconnected.

I have missed numerous calls from this number on my cell. the time when I did answer this call, the lady asked me if I was (she knew my name and my maiden name). So I said yes, then she disconnected the call. I have recieved another missed callfrom this same number 031-0011004.

the most surprising thing is that the cell that i have is not even my contract. its on my hubbies name. how she got my name and maiden surname and linked me to this particular cell number...beats me
