I talked to him tonite- Thick indian accent...said he was from microsoft and there is a virus in my computer. Told me to turn it on and press the microsoft key to the left of the alt button and the "r" key simultneously. I told him I wasn't sure of tht and he hung up. What would that have done?

It would have brought up Run, completely harmless, but he may have told you to type Ina code into it. If so, it would allow him to control your computer and put a virus on it. I'm glad you hung up!

I got the same call not just once but several times claiming he was calling about a problem with my computer and he was calling on behalf of Microsoft. He had a Indian accent and I asked him to take me off of his calling list but kept on talking so I hung up.
