This sounds like such a scam!
They are calling from what sounds like a call center, possibly in india? There is an accent for sure. A woman called me both times now, same girl from the sounds of it!
Calling and asking for the account holder, when we are a business! Then saying they are from Telus, but when they ask if you are with Telus, it is more of a question. They try and tell you that you are being given a discounted rate on your long distance and internet accounts, but that it is at no charge. Continuously saying this.
I dragged it out to see what they were really trying to get out of me for information, so that I could warn anyone else.
They get to a window where you are to confirm, and when you are confirming they want your birthdate? Seems very odd. That was as far as I went, I told them to f*ck off, that I wasn't providing that information. They put a "supervisor" on and tried to get my birthdate as well.
Told them not going to happen and they could make sure never to call again.
Clearly they never listen.
