Internet security. Caller says that my internet is being hacked during the hours of 2-3 am. They want to connect to my computer to resolve the matter and fix the security problem. Caller has a thick Indian or Pakistan accent. The caller does not identify other than a representative from Microsoft Windows Support. They want to know if I am on the computer then and if they can connect to my computer.

The guy said he was a windows tech. support guy. When I told him I was on the do not call list and not to call again he asked if I wanted to know the size of his penis and if he could have sex with my children.

Yes, my caller ID only showed 9 digits of the caller.
Helpline they claimed (424) 256-3700
Received a call today with a guy that had a very heavy Indian accent and claimed that he was with Microsoft.
Said my computer was sending them error reports of fraudulent activity and my personal information was being broadcasted over the internet.
They had me log into www.ammyy.com and when google chrome wouldn't pick that up, they have me go to www.teamviewer.com
By going there and telling them my username and password, they were able to take control of my computer and manipulate it by making me think that it had been hacked and it was infected. They wanted me to purchase a security software that was $199 for 2 years, $299 for 5 years or $399 for lifetime. Toward the end they were very persistent that I choose one and verify which one I wanted. I am so glad that I didn't agree to anything or give them any of my personal information.!!!
I did a live chat with an actual Microsoft rep today and they said "The phone call that you received is a hoax call. Microsoft does not call consumers to offer technical assistance and force you to allow remote access on your computer. Please hang up the call.
Argel: Please note that Microsoft has been doing a lot of plans to combat these fraudulent callers. While Microsoft is doing their best to eradicate them, the best thing that you can contribute now is to disregard unsolicited phone calls to avoid compromising your computer's information as well as your personal information."
