The first go around with these people they some how called me from a number that was a number short. I was told that I got a grant of a sum of 5,000 dollars and was given three options. I choose the one where I didn't have to give my bank or credit info and than was hung up on. This scam group continues to call me at least once or twice today. Just a few minutes ago This was the number that called me today , but they just hung up when I said hello.

They keep calling me saying that I have been accepted to receive a $5000 grant from the US Government that I can use to pay for education. Catch is I would have to give them my bank account number. I told them I would take my grant in the from of a check they could mail to a fictitious address because I don't do direct deposit. They hung up on me.

I got the call a few minutes ago but saw the number and did not answer it.
I have a list of 20 calls still on my caller ID that was made between Nov. 26 and Dec. 7 th. I reported one last week and was advised not to answer. I am still getting calls from a lot of different numbers on my
caller ID.

Steven Miller Caller: 202-000-1111 said "because you have paid your bills & taxes on time, you have been selected to receive a 'Loyalty Grant' of $9,000.". He went on to say that I have to call another number (supposedly in D.C.) to confirm my identity, them they will send it to me via my Bank account, credit/debit card, or via Western Union. That makes the second call in 2 days

Apparently a LOT of people have been getting these calls, not just me. The caller days "because you have paid your bills & taxes on time, you have been selected to receive a 'Loyalty Grant' of $9,000.". He went on to say that I have to call another number (supposedly in D.C.) to confirm my identity, them they will send it to me via my Bank account, credit/debit card, or via Western Union.
I suspected this was a scam so I did not call the other phone #. I Goggled the original phone number and saw that there were a LOT of people who received the same persistent calls. I think this should be reported & investigated by someone.

I just received a call from these jokers and told them to hang on, then I went and turned on my stereo and told them that from this moment on their phone call was being recorded. All of a sudden the person on the other end says he has trouble hearing me, but when I say the only reason for his lack of hearing is the scam he is involved in doesn't want to be recorded. This he hears really well as he states that he isn't running a scam but trying to help me get a $8,000 grant that the government has for me. Again I remind him he is being recorded and that he can go on with his speech, but it seems that he has lost the will to say anything but this isn't a scam and if I believed it to be a scam I could hang up. Knowing that they hate to have their time wasted I again told him to go on with his business, but finally he hung up.
Call center no-no for hanging up on your potential "customer". Next time they call I'll put them on hold while I play some terrible elevator music for them and se how long it takes for them to hang-up on me then.

This number has been calling me for weeks on end up to 12 times a day and now they are being perverted telling me hey want to F*** me in my but, Wanted to no my bra size I told him this was harassment he said it was not. then he began to tell me he hates Americans an he is going to blow up my house. He calls me everyday one time hes Johnathan Night other times hes Steven miller. First time he called it was about a grant and now everytime he calls when i answer he just starts talking dirty to me and saying very perverted things. I have blocked his number over 20 times and he still finds a way to call everyday. I asked if he had anything better to do then harass me and me he said he wants to have sex with me and hes better than my husband and If i don't do as he says he will come and blow my house up. I told him that is sexual harassment and he said it is not. SO I told him to learn how to speak proper English if he is from the government and that no government official would ever talk to someone like this. Someone needs to stop this guy for real!

You need to contact the FBI or Homeland Security. He has made a threat to do harm. This a terrorist threat and needs to be taken seriously.

I've read other reports of people complaining about phone issues after receiving such calls. Hackers have a way of gaining access to your phone if you pick up and/or call the number after missing a call. I would have your phone checked out just in case.

Foreign accent -- said he was calling from US Treasury and had $10,000 in cash for me if I had sex with him and got very raunchy. Has called before but without the raunchiness.

A female called once (foreign accent) and said she was from US Treasury and needed my debit card number to put $7800 on the card.
