The first time they called, at the beginning of July (date approximate) we had a whole conversation. They claim to be from Windows and they can see my computer is being hacked and they can help me. So I let them go on until I tell them I have a Mac and they get mad and curse me out before hanging up. Today they called again and they know my name, address, etc. but when they heard my voice they hung up.

Help to remove an infection hidden in my computer that is affecting Microsoft software. And that Microsoft would remove my software if I did not comply with their services to remove this infection that was hidden in my computer where a local computer technician would not be able to find it. When I declined the services, he kept insisting that I needed the services and that no one else could help me. I declined several times more and hung up. He immediately called back and asked why I hung up on him. I stated because I do not need your services. Then he told me that he was going to blow up my computer. I asked, you are going to blow up my computer? He replied yes. I hung up.

Scam from India: The story was our computer was generating error messages on their server. They claimed to be from Microsoft and would install software on our computer to fix the problem. Looking online, this appears to be a common problem.

This is second call from this number first was on 5/21/2013. They would give no names only that they were with Microsoft and if I did not allow them into my computer and pay them $80 or up to $180 I would no longer be able to connect to the internet. First was a male caller second caller was female both had thick India accent. They said my computer was hacked and had viruses. They knew my name address and phone number, don't know what other information they have on me or my family. after asking how do I know they are not hackers or phising for my credit card information? After telling them I was on the federal and Missouri State No Call Lists they hung up on me. I contacted Microsoft and had them put in security measures to keep them out of my computers. The call I got today when I told them I was on the No Call List and asked for the code number provided to me by Microsoft to prove that they were with Microsoft they hung up on me.

"Peter" (with an Indian accent and voices in the background) said they detected viruses coming from my internet account. He could sell me computer security virus protection, and would provide a free scan. He asked if I had Windows OS, I said no and asked for his phone number; he repeated the question and I said no again. Then he said he could not help me and quickly hung up.

Selling me protection of my computer. Then they generated into harassment. Subsequent calls where they claimed to be me (Alan Robertson), saying they were going to charge _me_ $10,000 for not doing business with them. The 2nd and 3rd calls were pure harassment. The voices were obviously Indian. The "Edward" character hesitated before giving his name "My name is ... Edward". Clearly trying to figure out what his name was this time.
