The caller wanted access to my computer information because, he said, I had a virus (even though he first asked if indeed even had a computer). He wanted me to turn it on and he would help me deal with the virus for 'windows'. I told him no and hung up. I called back the caller ID number and it is not a working number so I think it is 'spoofed ID'.

One-Stop ER Kit for computer repair of purported viruses. Approximate value was $80-100. Caller attempted to acquire computer information from home desktop computer. Caller claimed to be from a third-party support provider. This firm has called before (2 times) within the past 2 months. They do not honor my request to never contact me again.

These people show you errors listed in your computer, they always exist, and they want to take control of your computer to fix the errors. These errors should be ignored, and you should NEVER let someone unknown take control of your computer. I will not go into details about what they will do. They have been in business for many years now; I have reported them to the FBI site, but they are not able to stop them.
