The caller, "Mike", spoke with a non-American English accent (perhaps some broken british, Hispanic, or general Asian accent), calling for my mom (BY NAME... probably through caller ID) on behalf of the "US Grants Department". They said she was eligible for a $7,000 grant, which she didn't need to be paid back. When she asked what did this grant was for, "Mike" told her, literally, "For f***ing."

This guy spoke horrible english and told me i won a 7,000$ grant. he said i could use it for a nice trip with my husband, i said i didn't have a husband and he hung up on me. they've called 3 times. I'm so sick of scams.
People called me twice on the same day claiming to be calling from Washington DC that I had won something. When I said I wasn't interested they hung up on me. They didn't speak English well at all. The second time I told them not to ever call me again.
Said that I had won 7,000 dollars he couldn't even speak English very well.
