The caller stated he was calling "about my computer- is that OK?" As soon as I said "No, that's not OK" the caller hung up.
My caller ID stated the number he was calling from was 222-555-7777

something w/computers. The man asked if I was the primary user of the computer in our household, and I said that I was not interested, and to put me on the "do not call list". He called me an idiot, so I said "did you just call me an idiot?" & he stated "yes, do you want more?" Then he began to use profanity, calling me every possible name that he could think of "bitch, asshole, fucking bitch, slut". He then told me that he was going to call me 10 X every day. Then he said "No, I am going to call you 20 X every day!". He then called me names again. I lost track of all of them, but hung up of course. We should not have to put up w/abuse like this, and I am mad about it! He also refused to tell me the company name again (he gave me 3 initials for the company when I first answered the phone, but was speaking so quickly, I didn't get them. After I told him to put me on the "do not call list", he refused to give me the name again).

Some jerk with an accent calls almost everyday, sometimes 2 to 3 times as I do not answer anymore, very rude and trying to scam me on my computer to hack in. I sure wish some govt agency with resources and know how could put a stop to this nonsense.

Callers said they were going to scan our "computer with Microsoft on it for evidence of being hacked." This would be free (although the services to "protect" us would not be). They said, when pressed, that they were from Virtual PC Secure and were calling on behalf of Microsoft!

The caller said there were notifications that error messages had been found on my windows computer, and that it could be a hacker or virus trying to take over. They were going to help me.

Same issue as others. Was told that he was working for Microsoft from home. Told me that he was calling from Wyoming. Pushed him for a city and he gave me an address but not a city. pushed again and he finally came up with one. Asked for his name and number. Said his name was Charles and his number was 357-980-5421. Got mad because I questioned the fact that he was in Wyoming and that he worked for Microsoft. I told him to remove my number from his call list. he cussed me and then said that he would continue to call me over and over again and sell my number to others that would do the same thing. Did some research on the number: #1) 357 is not an area code for Wyoming or anywhere else in the US & #2) the number he gave is from the Island of Cyprus. Total scam. Hang up immediately. Threatened to call Better Business Bureau

Called today with lame story about a virus in my windows operating system/
He asked if I was the primary user of the computer; I asked him what my name
was, and he didn't know. Seems if he was really monitoring my computer, he'd
know my name, right?
Wrong.
This is a scam, pure and simple.
