(222) 555-7777

The first call I received from 222-555-7777 was a man with a heavy accent. He introduced himself as a computer IT guy. He said he wanted to help me fix my computer because of a virus that is going around. I was already aware of this scam so I let him continue. He asked me if I was at my computer, and I said yes. (but I was not), he proceeded to explain to me to go through various steps up unitil the control panel and the remote access icon. At this point he realized I wasn't at my computer. He said "you are not at your computer, are you?". I told him "no I was not", I then proceeded to tell him that I knew it was a scam and that I am going to call the police. He hung up. I called the police department. They were already aware of the scam. They get full control of your computer. Police officer I talked to said that they also received the call and then told the (this time a woman) that "you just called the police department". Then dial tone...... Police officer told me to let everyone know that under no circumstances allow remote access to your computer. This is how they steal your information. Police officer said so far they are aware of a woman and a man involved, and that even though I could give them the 222-555-7777 phone number it is not traceable.
Now I get calls from this number and no one speaks on the other end. I just hang up.

No one on the other line when I answered the phone.

Has called 3 times in one day, each time they just hung up.

Unknown caller. Calls repeatedly several times per day after being told not to call again. Initially heard voice of caller with very strong Indian accent phishing for info about my computer. Now just calls and hangs up.

If I catch these idiots I promiss I will take them to court, my wife took the call and wanted
her to turn on our computer no fing way and they keep pushing the issue. So I tryed to call
the number back and they said it was discanected.
