The guy told me he was calling about "solar panels" for my home only after I asked what he was calling about. He did not identify himself and at the beginning of the call asked simply to speak to "the homeowner." I had to say hello twice before he said anything; it sounded as though he was calling from a noisy place. His English was very poor and he had a very heavy accent (possibly Indian).

The person with a strong Indian accent said he was with "Solar America". The caller ID said "Name Unavailable". They have called before and I told them not to call back. I do not have records of their other calls.

according to caller complaints --Spoofed Numbers: Caution, 243-345-6789 is a "spoofed" number, which means that whoever called you "tricked" your caller ID to display an incorrect phone number. Telemarketers do this so you cannot complain, but they failed... you can still file a complaint here to fight back against unethical telemarketers.
