on 5/5/17 @ 10 am I get a ph call from 256-000-0000 which is somebody changing there phone number thru a app. I do not answer and let my voice mail pickup . some sort of scam who knows perhaps to verify ph numbers working. no message.

THIS IS THE GOVERNMENT VERIFYING ALL ACTIVE NUMBERS AND THE PEOPLE ASSOCIATED WITH THEM. THE "20'is" GIRL ON THE LINE SAYING WRONG NUMBER IS NO GIRL AT ALL, SAME VOICE FOR ALL OF US, THIS IS A COMPUTER GENERATED VOICE FOLLOWED WITH AN IMMEDIATE HANG UP.

Got the same # 1-256-000-0000 me and my wife were driving down the road and both our phones went off at the same time, We are on two different plans nobody was on the line when we picked up.

My fiancé received a call from this # on 10/26/15 at 1:11pm and wGen he answered a young female said wrong # then a few minutes later my phone rang with the same # and when I answered she also said sorry wrong # and hung up. Our phone #'s are totally different but we are on the same bill. Does anyone know why this girl is doing this?

Woman says "sorry, wrong number" and hangs up. 5 hours later, while I'm on a phone call, my phone disconnects because 256-000-0000 calls!

i got this call at 6:46 5/13/11 and stated the same as all these other posts..... young white girl early 20's says....oh sorry wrong number and hangs up....i have no land line so i cant say they rang it as well.......only thing i can think of is today google asked for my phone number thats attatched to my youtube page.....was it a hack????? god knows

called land line in evening, 29 Jan, and cellular phone today at 1317 hr. Young W/f (in 20s)sez "oops, wrong #" and hangs up. More than strange that these (privacy) invaders have somehow connected a household's wireless and landlines, each in a separate person's name. Does anyone have the answer? Tnx

Answered the call, girl states wrong number then hangs up. Seconds later, same thing happens on my home phone.Very strange they would call BOTH my home and cell number within seconds.

Caller ID stated it was an Alabama Call 256-000-0000
