The caller fraudently stated that I had completed a Walmart survey and as a result, I won a $100 gift card. I told her I didnt complete a survey but she insisted that I had won and she simply needed to walk me through a few online steps in order to receive my free gift. She instructed me to log on to their web page, www.wakanetwork.com and enter my personal information (name, address, email, phone). The second page requested my credit card information. I told her I'm not interested.

I received on my cell phone today a call from this #, also telling me I had filled out survey and won a $100 gift card from Walmart. I told them I had not filled out any survey, and they argued with me I had. She wanted me to go to my computer and sign on, I knew right then and there it was a scam, also after looking at the phone number. I told her I wasn't interest and hung the phone up.

They say it is to lower interest rate on my credit card. I've spoken with my bank and we're on every do not call list and these numbers have no association with them. They don't even have records of all of my phone numbers.

Scam using Walmart's survey to sell online products.

This is another number that wakanetwork.com calls from, regarding an "online survey". you completed to get a $100 Walmart gift card. I thought it was cool at first but then I heard her repeat the same 2 minute speech and realized she was fake. She even said "Please, I'm just 2 sales away from getting my big bonus". I was like I'm not doing this today. And she politely said bye.
But still, be warned: wakanetwork.com gets your credit card information and if you don't cancel your services, they will charge you after approximately 14 days. I read the fine print.

How did they get your credit card info? This is egregious. I have received several calls, none of which have I answered. This makes me sick. I am tired of all the scammers out there and our cell phone companies,et al selling our numbers to these pay-for-info companies.

Said I registered for a Walmart Card and I would receive a $110 card. I kept asking questions about who they were and who they thought I was since I did not register for a card and finally they hung up on me.

I just got a call today as well. It seems like a machine but it's actually a person.
Is this some kind of scam?

The automated recording thanked me for participating in a survey that I never participated in and then informed me that I would be getting a free $100 gift card for taking the survey. The automated system then began instructing me to open my web browser and go to wakanetwork.com and then click various links. I terminated the call at this time. I think this is a scam or phishing attempt.
