I have been getting repeated unsolicited text messages from Nicole Krajewski & Jacqueline Smith at Brightkite about Best Buy coupons. How frustrating to get unauthorized messages from someone who wants to sell me something - and I have to pay for the 'privilege"?!
I finally texted back to “stop texting me immediately”. I got two more texts asking me to confirm & then one asking me to answer their question. I did to end this fiasco & then got an additional text at 12:05am, waking me up from a sound sleep. Incredible!
I contacted Best Buy & AT&T, plus I filed an official complaint with the FCC as well. STOP!

How sad is it that we have to play within the system's rules to stop unsolicited communications on something we pay for! Called ATT, no help but they know of this number so they suggested txting STOP. Woke up my daughter twice at Midnight!!!!

I called verizon and they told me the number is a premium number. Then they told me how to stop the messages. I did what they said and it worked so far.

When you get the initial message, click reply then put the word "stop" in the message and send it. Then you will get another message from them and it will give you 3 options to choose from. #1 is Send the word STOP in your converation. #2 is Leave the conversation. #3 is Stop all future messages from your Brightkite friends.

I chose option number 3. I put "3" into the reply and sent it. A few moments later, I got a final text message. It said: Brightkite.com - You have disabled messaging from all of our mobile services. Support: support@brightkite.com

I'm getting the same messages from 2 number. 414 140 03 and 414 140 04. The last thing I did was get store credit card with Loft. It seems very random. I called AT&T and they've placed a purchase blocker on my phone so that unless i enter a pin number nothing can be purchased.

I got the message twice now. Its really annoying... And started happening since I have places my last order on BestBuy.com and updated my cell phone number at the same time. Looks like the BB database has been compromised or one of the employee is sharing customer information to outside party.

Same message send at 12am today 8/29/11. Don't know how they got my cell number. This is not good that our mobile provider is not keeping our number private. Mobile company are letting this thing to happen and so Best Buy Company.
