Male with heavy foreign accent claiming he was a Microsoft tech and that my computer was infected. Company was either "Tech Geek" or "Computer Geek".
Trying to get me to accept computer services. telling me that I had a virus on my pc that they had been monitoring my windows machine (strange I use a Mac) and that it was been severely affected. They tried to have me open a Peer network connection so that they could get on anf fix it (for a magnificent price, and a valid credit card !! ) no doubt that is what they were after. This is a known scam and an identity ripoff. these people need stopping.. The Nat Do Not Call List means nothing to these scammers. Even when I told them to remove my number from their calling list, Even had the gall to ask me to install windows so that they could fix it after!! WHAT
Please stop these people and protect folks who dont know and will fall for this scam, lose a great deal of money needlessly and have their identities compromised for years to come!
They wanted to rid my computer of unwanted viruses. Led me through a bunch of stupid procedures to "prove" to me how infected my computer was. I played along to see how far this would go...stopped and hung up when I was asked to go to a website. They called back two more times.

They wanted me to go to the URL they would provide me to show me how my computer was infected by spyware and malware.
