I received a call from an automated system that had not identified who they were or what company they are. They just asked you to call a number if you want lower rates for your credit card. Classic identiy theft.

Claimed to offer reduced interest rates. I get this message and one very similar to it about 2 a month!
The message said: "We're calling from Account Services regarding a letter you have received or will receive about your interest rates going up, please press 1 (or 9, I forget) to find our about how you can keep this from happening to you".
Upon pressing the number and after a wait, a lady answered and said, "Are you calling about lowering your interest rates?"
I said, "Um, what card company is this?", She immediately hung up the line.
