They just called me for the second time in a week. I asked them to remove me from their mailing list. The guy initially said "why" and I replied "because I don't like getting calls from people I don't already do business with". He then spoke fast in a foreign language. I asked again firmly "please remove me from your mailing list". He replied "I am doing it - just hold on for a moment". I could tell he didn't put me on hold because he started talking in a foreign language again. Then he started singing a love song in English to me. I said I was going to call the police and hung up.
This always works for me when I get a suspicious call. When you answer say homicide detective ?. If they are smart they will say they have the wrong number or something and you should reply that they better be more careful what number they dial. Ive done this before when I used to get a lot of calls from the same bogus looking number and they dont ever call back.
These people calling about changing your interest rates are obnoxious. When I asked whom they were representing, which of my credit cards they were referring to, the man got angry and said I knew which card he was calling about and when I said, no I don't, you tell me what you are calling about, he became irrate and screamed at me that I was a moron and hung up.
