Call if from Vodafone cell in India, call Vodafone's tech support and start complaining and maybe they will look into it if enough people call.

Call from Microbit Solutions 2100 hrs HI Time: Gal calling speaks pretty good English and asks to speak to the owner of this number. I tell her that I think Hawaii Telcom owns the number.

“Don’t you own this number,” she says sternly. I agree that it is my phone number, but deny that I own it, technically speaking, but Hawaii Telcom lets me use it. We get past that and move on.

She tells me that my computer is generating error messages. Bummer! That is not the script I was prepared to respond to. Now I have to adlib this whole conversation.

A woman on a previous call had told me. “Your computer has a virus.” So I had prepared my own scrip pretending to think she was telling my HOOTER had a virus. I would then chuckle and acknowledging that it didn’t sound like English was her first language, but on a guy it is called a chest. She’d repeat the statement and I would tell her maybe she was trying to say SHE had a virus on her corresponding female anatomy. I’d then ask if she was Madam Chee calling from the Mongoose Ranch and tell her don’t be callin’ me at home like this…and take it which ever direction it went from there.

She insisted her company in Honolulu was detecting error messages and she was calling to help. I asked her if it was my office computer, the one in Alaska, etc. “Don’t you have a PC in your house?” she asked. I wanted to tell her no, I have a Mac, but decided I wouldn’t be caught dead admitting that.

She gets me to select the “start” tab and then the “run” icon and she would give me a code. You’re going to give me a COLD...I don’t want to get sick! In my defense, I explained she was hard to understand and proceeded with her instructions.

“Now what do you see on your screen?” Ummm…it looks like a paperclip looking guy running across my screen and asking if he can help me…well, dang it, you asked and I told you what I’m seeing!

“Don’t you understand any thing? Are you stupid? Are you and idiot?” I admitted being described as that a few times in my life, but…what do you want me to do?
