A payday loan company repeatedly called me. I sent it to voice mail several times, no message left. I finally answered. They had my name, Social Security number, and said that I had taken out a payday loan and never repaid it, which is a lie. They gave a previous address of mine, said they were "Federal agents" from a state I haven't been a resident of in over 6 years, and said they were sending the payday loan company filed an arrest warrant and they were coming to arrest me in 15-30 minutes. I asked for identifying information, they stuttered and gave me a fake badge number. I asked for a supervisor, they put me on hold and it was the same person. I called them out on the lie, and asked to speak to a supervisor. The same person disguised his voice and answered "North Carolina Police, who is this?"...I said "Nice try" and hung up. Middle Eastern male on the line, I could barely understand the names he gave which were fake. I asked for the number on the arrest warrant, which couldn't be supplied (of course, because it doesn't exist!)...I am waiting for the idiot to call me back so I can explain to them the truth...I never applied for or received a payday loan, I don't know how they got my information, and if they don't stop calling me and spoofing 911, I will contact the BBB and start taking legal action against their company.
